Come learn the concept behind Robert Kiyosaki’s bestselling books. This board game called Cashflow is very rarely played in open circles as the board game itself is expensive.

As this is an introductory game session, we are only opening it to 6 persons (open to Mensa members and family members).

We have 2 game facilitators who will explain the game and how it is played. Be warned: it is quite addictive!

Despite major advances in health care over the past century and highly trained and dedicated staff with the best intentions, patients continue to experience “adverse events”. An adverse event is any unintended harm to a patient as a result of medical care. Examples include: infection because a health care provider failed to wash their hands properly, prolonged hospital admission due to a medication error, and surgery on the wrong patient. Research conducted in North America, Britain, Europe, Australia and New Zealand indicate that adverse events occur at an alarming rate – between 3 and 17 out of every 100 hospital admissions (3 – 17 %) are associated with an adverse event.

Fortunately, patients’ active involvement in the delivery of their own care can have a large and positive impact on the safety and quality of health care.

In this presentation, health care quality consultant Dr Andy Teh discusses:

• The nature of adverse events – What, Why, How
• How adverse events are prevented
• Safety tips for patients and their families
• What if something goes wrong?
• Medical resources for lay people

There will also be a Question & Answer session at the end of the presentation.

About the Presenter

Dr Andy Teh is a health care quality consultant, clinical epidemiologist, speaker, author and entrepreneur. He founded Teh & Associates, a health care quality consulting firm, in 2009 after having served for more than 15 years as a clinician and physician executive in hospitals throughout the Asia Pacific region.

He’s back again and he will be in Penang.

He and his team will be in Penang to share with you all the things you need to know before you apply for any US university.
